Stefan Sagmeister. He’s worked on album packaging and posters for music industry giants The Rolling Stones, Lou Reed, Talking Heads, Pink Floyd, etc. and is best known for his trademark hand-made typography. With an emphasis on concept over style, everything he churns out has an exciting, “made you look, huh?” quality. His mantra? Work slower, do less work, do it better.1

  1. I’d love to apply this work ethic but sadly, in the third world we’re often driven by extremely tight deadlines, not to mention the need to make ends meet as soon as we can. :( [ back]

This is the album's wraparound sleeve that I designed: In this reality however, the revolutionary team of Uno Magazine invited me to illustrate a piece ...

Hello again, it’s me.

Wow, in four days it will be a year since I last updated this blog! Where did the time go? I don't even know what to write about here anymore. *sheepish grin* There are actually TWO things that prompted me to post an update. 1) A conversation I had with my friend ...

A lot goes on but nothing happens.

Okay, that's not entirely true ((the subject heading, I mean. It's a song lyric like always)) -- a lot has happened since my last update. I've quite forgotten how to write blog posts so allow me to do it in bullets. * My husband Arnold Arre is Powerbooks' Author of ...
